Metro Rail is a type of high-capacity railway system. It is also called a rapid transit system. It is one of the fastest ways of commuting in large cities.Metro rail is the second largest project of the current government of Bangladesh. People living in Dhaka are wasting much of their valuable time sitting idly; inly in vehicles. many people can't reach their workplace on time. So no need to say that the metro rail has become a crying need for the people of Dhaka city. It is  expected thet the metro rail can be partially open at the a end of 2022. The total length of the project will be 2k and the line will as far as  motikheel. It is expected that the metro rail will carry 60000 passengers per hour. It will have stations on 16 points of the city. As a result, people will be able to move easily fro one  place to another. It will also reduce the number  of accidents on the road.The traffic condition will be improved as people will then less rely on private cars. The metro rail is also eco-friendly because it is electric so there will not be any honking and compare to the road-based traffic system it requires less energy. It is expected that it will not take more than 40 minutes to travel the entire route. So people will be easily able to ove from one place to another. Metro rail will have many positive impacts on our social and economic life. It will save thousands of work hours by reducing traffic jams. It will also give the city dwellers a comfortable life. Hence, it will be not wrong say that metro rail has opened the gateway leading to a modern and comfortable future.
